How do we start working together?

Is a soundproof booth always required for simultaneous interpreting?
No. Simultaneous interpreting can be delivered from a soundproof booth (the optimal setup), with a portable “bidule” system, or fully remote via a certified RSI platform. I can help you choose the right option for your event.
Why do interpreters usually work in pairs?
Simultaneous interpreting demands intense cognitive focus. After roughly 30 minutes, interpreters switch with a booth partner to maintain accuracy. This is standard professional practice, not an added cost for its own sake.
What’s included in a quote for interpreting?
Every quote reflects the preparation behind the assignment: in-depth research on the subject matter, a tailored glossary, and review of any materials you provide (slides, agendas, speaker notes), not just time in the booth.
Can I send confidential materials before the event?
Yes, and it helps enormously: the more context I have, the better the result. If confidentiality is a concern, I’m glad to sign an NDA or work from an anonymised briefing document.
Do you offer remote simultaneous interpreting (RSI)?
Yes. I have full working proficiency across the major RSI platforms, for both hybrid and fully remote events.
What are your payment terms?
Standard terms are 30 days from invoice, issued at the end of the project. For longer engagements, a deposit of at least 20% is required, and installment plans can be arranged on request.
